Room Fan
Does putting a regular room fan behind the x box 360 help with cooling the system?
The guy at Best Buy said it would not and reccommend I buy one of their 25 dollar fans that fit on the system…I thought it a sales pitch…Why wouldn’t a regular fan blowing on the system cool it the same?

Yo whats up,Hey i wanted to let you know that i haev the IntraCooler Fan on the back of my 360 and about 2 months ago i still got the 3 red lights,i had the send the system back to microsoft for repais and in about a month they ended up just sending me a new sytem.So if you want to avoid this from happening to you there are a few things that you can do.1-Make sure that you 360 is plugged into a wall outlet not a search protector because the grey box on the cord is already a search protector so this could cause hardware failure.2-Make sure that wherever you put the box it has proper ventilation.3-Dont attatch any thing to the console that is not approved by microsoft.4-Dont leave your game discs in the sytem when not playing them especially if you have x box live because even when your sytem is off it stills runs power through it and the hard drive still reads info. Now after saying all that i will tell you that once i had my original x box fan break on the system and after about 1 minute of play it would overheat so I TOOK A REGULAR FAN AND PUT IT REAL CLOSE TO THE BACK OF IT BY THE FAN OPENINGS AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM.
